Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Thrensea collects, why, and what rights you have over it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are
Thrensea is developed by [legal entity name and registered address, to be added]. For any privacy-related question, contact us at privacy@thrensea.com.
What we collect
We collect the minimum we need to run this site and to respond to people who contact us:
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, when you subscribe via the "Subscribe" button.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message, when you use the contact page.
- Site analytics: anonymous, aggregate visit data such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, general location, and device type. This is collected without cookies and without anything that identifies you as an individual.
We don't collect anything beyond that. This site does not use tracking cookies, and does not share or sell data to advertisers.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
- We use your email address to send you updates about Thrensea's development and release, because you asked us to (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw that consent at any time. See "Your rights" below.
- We use contact form submissions to read and respond to your message, based on your consent in submitting the form and our legitimate interest in being able to answer people who reach out to us (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).
- We use aggregate site analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it, based on our legitimate interest in doing so (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because this data can't identify you, it doesn't require your consent and no cookie banner is shown.
Where your data is stored
This site and the systems behind it run on servers operated by OVHcloud, located within the European Union. Your data does not leave the EU as a result of using this site.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of third-party services to run this site:
- Cloudflare, for Turnstile, a CAPTCHA-style tool that helps keep the contact form free of spam and bots. Cloudflare processes some technical/browser signals as part of this. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
- Resend, to deliver newsletter and contact-related emails on our behalf.
Our site analytics are self-hosted on our own server rather than run through a third party, so nobody outside Thrensea sees that data. We don't use advertising networks or any other data broker.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry, and deleted afterward unless we have a reason to keep them longer (e.g. an ongoing conversation).
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Any cookies that are set are strictly limited to what's needed for the site to function.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to how we process your data
- Port your data to another provider
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything processed before the withdrawal
To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@thrensea.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
Children
Thrensea is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll remove it.
